Feel the power of expressing yourself without any social judgement.
Feel free. Feel Empowered. Think WeMynd!
WeMynd is a social media platform designed specifically to spark dialogue and connections around critical issues. WeMynd’s user-friendly, online platform will serve as a global network of local communities seeking to change the world by sharing their stories with each other, learning and inspiring each –through user-generated content and community moderation –without the limitations of language or distance. WeMynd is a platform for first-hand, user-based citizen reporting where anyone can post accounts of positive and concerning activities or incidents they have experienced or witnessed. This will help highlight issues of concern from the grassroots level and add human elements to major news stories, or help cover issues not being addressed by mainstream press.
WeMynd leverages the pervasiveness of technology and the universalization of using social media to communicate through liking, sharing, re-posting and connecting online and creates a space that has a purpose and mission.
WeMynd is new and different because it’s being built from the ground-up for a specific segment of a global market. We know how our end user is –mostly because we are the end user – and are designing an interface and functions based on that. Our key features currently include:
● Choice of Anonymity: giving users around the world (especially in developing countries) the protection they need before they can voice themselves on the most serious topics and issues in their communities.
● Issue and geographic segmentation to allow users to find and connect with like-minded individuals.
● Menu of Action icons. Because most people want more options than to either “like” or “share” something that they are concerned and passionate about, we will give users a wider selection of ways to engage with each other.
